French Cancan
If you have not seen or heard about the French Cancan designer label, as I did not, a few months ago then you are in for a real treat! French Cancan blends the traditional feel of lingerie – the ambiance – with modern fabrics and materials to create a pleasurable wearing and viewing experience. I stumbled upon their site while trying to find some new companies to add to the site and I immediately added them to our list of companies. A certain seductive and playful nature are fused into the designs of their lingerie.
Their lingerie design styles range form simple bra and garter sets to accessories like lace gloves and stockings for the full bodied effect; seduction from head to toe. Unfortunately the site is in French and I have very little experience in reading French so some of our information may be less than accurate. It seems French Cancan is owned and operated by a company called Tand’M but I have not found much information on this company – if you know of this company please let us know and we will give you credit and a link on our site.
I really enjoy the designs from French Cancan as they seem to just elegant enough to satisfy my refined side but still playful enough to keep me enticed. The designs are well rounded as they could work for a variety of reasons, although many of their designs are truly bedroom attire. The selection of collections is smaller than a large design house like La Perla or Triumph, but good things come in small packages. Check out French Cancan or the images below….

Eres – Playful French Lingerie
Irene Leroux started Eres as a swimsuit shop which was unheard of in 1968, her success soon followed. Her styles were simple, understated and uniquely modern; all natural, no padding and no trick sewing to gain a different effect. This was very original for its time.

Vannina Vesperini started her label in 1996 and has been at the forefront of lingerie for some time now. She was one of the forerunners of “lingerie as outerwear” and catapulted the trend into mainstream. We all know this trend as we have seen gorgeous bustiers and corsets worn over blouses and as clothing themselves, not to mention the use of silk and satin chemises or camisoles worn under business suit jackets to add a bit of femininity to an otherwise drab business environment. To top it all off she was featured in Cosmopolitan magazine in November of this year and will be featured in Marie Claire in January of 2009.
